 A Multi-Purpose Locomotive for Both Yard and Road Switching. Based on the technologies and designs that we have developed in our Green Goat series of hybrid yard switchers and customer feedback, we have completed the designs for and are in the process of constructing our first pre-production RP Series road switchers. We offer two models of RP Series road switchers: the RP20BH two engine hybrid and the RP20BD three engine diesel. The common DC buss control allows for maximum efficiency, and the best management of the two engine hybrid and three engine configurations. The result is a versatile system for both road and yard switching. Depending on the power requirements of the application, the unit will either run on battery alone (for the hybrid model), one engine, or any combination of battery and engine(s).
