RailPower's continuously evolving corporate governance policies will not only serve as guidance for the employees, management and directors, but will also afford the public a road map as to how we will be governing our professional conduct. Corporate governance has always been a concern of management, most particularly since we went public and became accountable to you, our shareholders. We have grown considerably since 2002 and now have a substantial operation in the United States. Recent developments in Canada and the US have provided a strong impetus to put in place formal policies and charters. To that end, we have spent considerable time drawing up what we feel are practical and workable rules that ensure there is a balance between protecting investor interests and ensuring individuals are not overly burdened with them to the point they hamper enthusiasm, creativity and ultimately productivity. In RailPower's day-to-day dealings, the Company must always rely heavily on the quality of the individuals we have hired, or have as members of the Board. That is why we place a considerable emphasis on our human resources expertise for ensuring we hire the right people and have the right remuneration and working conditions. Please see the tabs for the particular policies and charters and also feel free to comment on them by contacting us. Quick Fact: |
